From check-in to room amenities to tips for excursions in South Tyrol – here you'll find all important information for your stay at Hotel Sonnenhof.
Rooms and suites are ready for occupancy from 2:00 PM on the day of arrival. On the day of departure, we ask you to vacate the room by 10:00 AM. If you would like to arrive earlier or depart later, just let us know – we'll surely find a solution!
The stated prices are per person per day including Sonnenhof half board plus (extensive breakfast buffet, cakes in the afternoon, 5-6 course gourmet dinner). Not included is the local tax of €3.30 per day per person (from 14 years). Children receive attractive discounts – just ask us!
Cancellations up to 30 days before arrival are free of charge. From 30 to 3 days before arrival we charge 70% of the booked price. For cancellations from 3 days before arrival, no-show, early departure or late arrival we charge 100% of the agreed price. We recommend taking out travel cancellation insurance.
Your dog is welcome to accompany you on vacation, after prior arrangement. Please understand that they are not allowed in the common rooms, wellness area and sunbathing lawn. In the bar area, your four-legged friends are very welcome – even for dinner with you. We charge €15.00 per day (without food), and an additional €25.00 for any required final cleaning.
Kuens is a true paradise for active vacationers! E-bike rental directly at the hotel (from €22/day), countless hiking trails through the Passeier Valley, via ferratas, weekly Pilates with panoramic views. Culturally, you can visit the gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle (as Empress Sissi once did!) or explore Merano. Christof will gladly take you on one of his favorite tours!
Vacation days full of culinary delights! In the morning, an extensive breakfast buffet awaits you with freshly baked bread (some homemade according to old recipes), regional products and herbal teas from Wilma's garden. In the afternoon there are homemade cakes and tarts. In the evening we spoil you with alpine-Mediterranean gourmet dinners (6-8 courses) – the best of both worlds! Meat, vegetables and fruit come from neighboring farmers, game from our own hunt.
Our wellness oasis offers water worlds with indoor and outdoor pool (both heated), a sauna landscape for relaxation and numerous quiet areas with panoramic views of the Passeier Valley. Ideal for recharging after a hike or bike tour! The Mediterranean sun terrace invites you to linger.
The entire hotel including rooms and suites is non-smoking. Smoking is only permitted in outdoor areas. Thank you for your understanding!
